Stop Trying To Get What You Want…
Have you ever reached a goal only to be met with an empty, unsatisfied feeling? And then set another goal thinking if you just push a little more, that will bring the fulfillment?
As the concept of Manifestation continues to come more and more to the forefront, it seems imperative to have an understanding of exactly what it is we are trying to call in.
Are we sitting and dreaming up something that is actually aligned with our uniqueness? Does it vibrate with how we are here to be in the world? Or is it a conditioned, homogenized idea of what the perfect life is supposed to look like?
Human Design helps us see that the mind and body have a sort of disconnect. Not that they can’t be on the same team, but when the mind tries to dictate the life and control what it thinks it should look like, there can be a misalignment that arises.
The mind isn’t here to drive. It’s here to observe and collaborate with what it meets so it can experience and learn. They each have their roles. The body brings us to where we need to go, sending cues as to when it is in alignment and when it is not, and the mind learns about its experience.
When we start putting our energy towards manifesting something, we are training the mind to see opportunities that will lead it to the place it thinks it wants to go. So, if I say I want to date a man who is 5’10,” studies regenerative agriculture and knows how to build a house with his bare hands, every time I see a person who remotely fits that description, the mind through the openness is going to latch onto the idea that this is the love for me. But is it really?
As a Projector, maybe I act like a Manifestor and initiate every time I meet this person. What happens? In my experience, (and as a 1/3 I’ve really put this to the test) I’m either turned down or have it ‘not be what I expected’ over and over again.
For as long as we let the mind lead the decision making and take us down these paths that go against our inner authorities, are we bound to end up confused and feeling empty repeatedly?
Again, this isn’t about trying to eradicate the mind or make it the enemy. It will always be there and it’s a wonderful part of our existence when it’s at peace with being a passenger.
In this same scenario, say I carry an intention that says, ‘I desire to be recognized by and in mutually supportive service to those who will bring success to my being-ness through their invitations and my Emotional discernment.’ As a Projector with Emotional Authority, now I am communicating with my unique design. Now I am training my awareness to be open to seeing the invitations that come unexpectedly and might look different than what my mind thinks it wants.
This is an invitation. Are your ready to stop chasing the Dragon of what the mind thinks it wants and start meeting the opportunities that will bring real success and satisfaction? Do you have energy to intentionally be led by the body instead of the Hungry Ghost of the mind?
